We\u2019re nearing the first-year anniversary of the tragic passing of our dearest friend, colleague, comrade and sister Sin\u00e9ad Francis-Coan.<\/p>\n
Sinead worked with and was loved by so many at NTEU and the wider movement and it feels pertinent to come together to mark our loss and to keep alive the memory of Sin\u00e9ad\u2019s incredible life and work.<\/p>\n
Please join us for a memorial gathering on Friday 19 June at the NTEU Office in Surry Hills, Sydney.<\/p>\n
There will be a few short speeches, with people invited to share their warm memories of Sin\u00e9ad and a memorial unveiling in the office. This will be followed by a visit to The Gaelic Club \u2013 a place Sin\u00e9ad enjoyed, danced and sang at – for an evening of Irish trad music amongst friends and comrades.<\/p>\n
This is an open event; all friends, family, activists, and community members welcome to attend.
