PROPOSALS REFUSED
UON Management has refused our proposals to create collegial committees to ensure the time allocated for the performance of work accurately reflects the time required to perform the work. They have refused proposals to improve workload review processes.
Instead, management has brought a proposal to the table to replace 40/40/20 with a sliding scale that could give management the right to increase your teaching allocation to as high as 80%. They have also suggested a workload review panel for individual matters only with panel members chosen by management.
On pay, they have offered just 10% through to an expiry date in April 2028. Compare this to the 16.92% staff at WSU have secured.
Management has refused to lock in:
17% superannuation for casual staff
Reduced reliance on casual academic employment
Paid time release for the union branch presidents
