NTEU members at the University of Newcastle worked hard through 2025 and 2026 to secure the University of Newcastle Academic Staff and Teachers Enterprise Agreement 2026, with:
- Improvements to workload review processes
- 3.5% p.a. pay rises
- Full super equity for casuals
Improvements like these are only possible when the staff who run the university talk to each other, share their struggles and successes, organise collectively and fight for the conditions they need. The education of students, research that pushes society forward, and the Newcastle community rely on the collective action of union members.
